Is it true that in old Sanskrit the name Kevin means goose?

Andrews stands by Haneef decision despite interview release.

Federal Immigration Minister Kevin Andrews says today’s public release of the second police interview with Indian doctor Mohamed Haneef does not alter the reasons for his decision to revoke the former Gold Coast Hospital registrar’s visa.

Lawyers for Dr Haneef say the decision to release the second transcript of an interview with federal police will expose the lies that were told by the Federal Government about their client’s links to terrorism.

But Mr Andrews says the information he used in deciding to cancel Dr Haneef’s visa was broader than the information gathered from any police interviews with the Indian national.

“The minister based his decision on a range of information that was more than the first transcript or the second transcript,” a spokeswoman for Mr Andrews said.

In an off the record briefing spokeswoman Ms Tokyo Rose indicated that the minister had spoken extensively to Shirley MacLaine, Doris Stokes, Haile Selassie, Uri Geller, Napoleon and a broad range of internationally regarded clairvoyants, soothsayers and prestidigitators in his search for truth, justice and the Andrews way of life.

The spokesflunky added that, "The minister is in possession of a third interview, which was conducted by the respected firm of Gordon, Liddy, Howard, Hunt, Colson and Erlichman and has advised that if the public, the judiciary and the namby-pamby civil rights activists don't like it then he is willing to make up even more stuff until they all get sick of the whole bloody matter."
